My Art
My website challenge is to show all the mediums I use in my artistic pursuits. Two of my favorites are the humble pencil and charcoal. Why you might ask well … it’s the intimacy, closeness and touch of the pencil and charcoal as they roam across paper seeking design and shapes. My artwork also includes pencil, pastel, watercolor, ‘sumi ink‘ and printmaking. I have a press and do my own printmaking .
About Me
Now about me. My artistic pursuits began about twenty five years ago when my Tlingit husband and I moved to Seattle. I was born and raised in England and every holiday my mother took us to London to visit the art galleries. That initiated my love of art and I have been fortunate to visit art galleries in Europe and Istanbul. Art really is in the eye of the beholder. Some of my favorite pieces of art aren’t others’ favorites. That I give up on! So, I will attempt to show my different art mediums in each website that will be updated every other month. I really hope to see you there.
